Northern Essex Community College to Open Culinary School After Lupoli Gift

​The family foundation of local real estate and pizza mogul Sal Lupoli recently pledged $500,000 to Northern Essex Community College, a gift that will help NECC open a new school of hospitality and culinary arts next year.
The school announced the Lupoli Family Foundation's pledge last week. Sal Lupoli is CEO of Lawrence-based real estate development firm Lupoli Companies, which also operates the Sal’s Pizza Italian food chain.
